About Abby

I have never liked anything more than working with my hands together with other people. In 2020 I really started my pottery journey by working as an apprentice to Daniel Bellow, a production potter in Great Barrington, MA, making work, selling at art shows and farmers markets, and teaching pottery lessons. After moving to Madison, WI in December of 2021 I set up a pottery wheel in my apartment so I could continue to make work. Now I work out of my own fully outfitted studio in Deforest, WI! In every job I’ve had, from cook to phlebotomist, I’ve been guided by the desire to bring people together and to evoke joy from the simple things in life. I design products to bring joy and wonder into the everyday. Each piece I sell is hand thrown, hand decorated, and all around handmade by me at my studio in Deforest, WI.

I run my studio out of the Madison, WI area, sourcing material from the stream in my backyard and from local suppliers (thanks Paoli Clay!). I also run friendly workshops for you and your friends/partner to play with some mud together and make pottery to use in your home!
